Aerotech – Red Team

“The System Meets the Technical Requirements”………..but doesn’t work?

How often does this occur? Across both military and civilian domains, major programmes fail at the operational implementation stage – so why does this happen?

Aerotech’s approach to Red Teaming projects is built on years of developmental and operational test and evaluation experience, backed up by extensive technical expertise. Red Teaming is applicable across domains and to both civilian and military projects.

Why should you Red Team? Paraphrasing UK Defence:

“The Red Team provides the end user with an independent capability to critically consider concepts, projects, plans and operational designs; thereby leading to improved decision making. Although red teaming can be readily used to challenge assumptions based on quantitative factors (structures, capabilities, geography and so on) it is uniquely useful in helping to identify and understand the impact of qualitative factors (attitudes, reactions, perspectives etc).”

Depending on the particular programme, our Red Team members are chosen for Subject Matter Expertise (SME), professional and cultural perspective, abilities in the application of critical analysis, and, most crucially for the end result, imagination and ‘left-field’ thinking – in keeping with Aerotech’s core aim to ‘bring innovation’, introducing concepts which may have not been considered in the original plan is a core strength of our Red Teaming concept.’

Another strength in Aerotech’s Red Teaming process is the inclusion of client experts – whilst ensuring our team members are SMEs, we acknowledge that the true experts in the engineering aspects of specialised programmes are part of the ‘home team’ – therefore Aerotech’s Red Team represents a joint learning exercise to improve all parts of a programme.

At Aerotech we have the operational experience, combined with proven systems engineering and analytical skills, all supported by recognised/industry standard requirements management and collaborative behaviours, to ensure effective Red Teaming of a wide range of programmes. By ensuring the right questions are answered, Aerotech analysts provide constructive, insightful, informed challenge, in a digestible way, to improve your outcomes.

Aerotech’s Red Teaming can be applied across the entirety of a project, from the analytical space, through to support for live/scenario-based testing.

Effective Red Teaming of your programme can pay for itself many times over – please contact us to find out how we can help.
